I was worshipping the Lord at home when I suddenly heard - "Do you have oil?" The next day, I was invited to paint for the Enter art exhibition. While preparing, I was again drawn to the importance of having oil in our lamps to shine brightly. Many times we may start well and only to frizzle out at the end. We all need the refilling of His Spirit when we get spiritually dry.
Lifetime intimacy and surrender to the Lord is vital for our spiritual maturity and the impact we make in the world. To me, the oil in the Menorah symbolizes the fullness of the Spirit. Just as it is important for the Menorah to lit up with pure oil and shine daily, we too need to have enough oil to lit up and shine as God's light bearers in the end times we live in!
Do you have oil? We cannot burn until we have oil. Let’s be a lamp that burns continuously and gives light.
